Enclosure Design Engineer for Sensor Integration
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Seeking Engineer for Enclosure Design with Integrated Temperature and Humidity Sensors
We are developing an electronic system that includes a temperature and humidity sensor and require support in designing a protective enclosure to house the components. The goal is to create an enclosure that offers basic protection from environmental factors such as temperature extremes, humidity, and dust, while ensuring the sensors function accurately.
Scope of Work:
We are looking for an engineer with experience in simple enclosure design, thermal management, sensor integration, and environmental protection. The project involves the following tasks:
- Design a basic, airtight, and durable enclosure to house the components, using moisture-resistant materials.
- Incorporate a hydrophobic membrane vent to allow air exchange while preventing moisture and contaminants from entering.
- Ensure the enclosure meets a basic IP rating for dust and water resistance (IP67 or similar).
- Use gaskets and seals for cable entries and joints to maintain integrity.
- Suggest tests (e.g., thermal, humidity) to verify that the design holds up in typical operating conditions.
- Provide material recommendations to ensure the longevity of the enclosure.
Skills and Expertise Needed: Mechanical Engineering with experience in enclosure design, IP rating, and basic thermal management.
Deliverables:
- CAD designs of the enclosure, including basic specifications for materials and components.
- Basic thermal and environmental testing documentation.
- Recommendations for materials and components.
Project Timeline: 5 days
How to Apply:
Please provide examples of similar projects you have worked on. We are looking for an engineer who can offer practical, cost-effective solutions and contribute their expertise to create a reliable, simple product.
Confirm you have read and understood the requirements by providing a high-level proposal and method of ensuring the design meets the requirements above.
Feel free to reach out if you need further details
