Custom Foot Stool with Durable Cushion
Budget: $50 – $100 USD
I'm seeking a skilled craftsman to create a foot stool for under my desk at work. This stool should have a sturdy yet comfortable design, suitable for both elevation and comfort.
Key Requirements:
- Material: I am open to suggestions. Please recommend the best material for durability and comfort, be it wood, metal, or plastic.
- Cushion: The cushion needs to be robust and able to withstand regular use without getting damaged from my shoes. It should not be a standard cushion, but something more resilient.
- Design: maybe a 2 tier (only the top tier with a cushion) so that I can change up the position of my feet all day for sitting, standing and putting a foot on, and a wide enough area that I could even prop my leg up on (like where I might rest the back of my calf so I can straighten my leg out if I need to please)
-There are so many to choose from online, but they are either too short, too tall, not wide enough for both feet comfortably, made of material that will show all the dirt and who knows what else that I get on the bottom of my shoes from walking around all day
- I have a standing desk and higher drafting chair- the stool needs to accommodate that- (I have tried to use my trash can flipped over, but it’s 15” tall and too high to be comfortable) (I have also purchased 2 others that are too short or just a small square)
**Also, I am 7 months pregnant, but will use the stool afterwards, just thought I would mention it :)
Ideal Skills:
- Carpentry or furniture making experience
- Knowledge of different materials and their durability
- Design skills, with an eye practicality
**Also, I see these are anywhere from $40 to $100 online, but I realize that having someone make me one is surely going to cost me a lot more- , but hoping that maybe I’m wrong- I am only able to spend somewhere in that range for one right now, so please don’t take any offense- :) **
