Convertible High Heel Footwear Design System
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
Convertible High Heel Footwear Design
Project Overview
We are developing a fully convertible high heel shoe inspired by the concept of Pashion Footwear’s convertible heels. Our goal is to create a shoe that allows women to switch between high heel mode and flat mode, but with new improvements so it does not infringe existing patents while being more comfortable and practical for everyday use.
Reference Brand
Pashion Footwear (USA) – they own patents for a removable heel + arch support system called Stelo™.
Important: Our design should not copy their mechanism or any of their patented features. Instead, we want to create a new solution that solves the same problem differently.
Design Goals
Convertibility
Shoe must easily switch between high heel and flat mode.
Change mechanism should be secure, durable, and user-friendly.
Ideally, the transition should be quick (under 30 seconds).
Comfort
Ergonomic arch support even in flat mode.
Use of lightweight, durable materials (foam, composites, or cushioning).
Reduce pressure on feet during both modes.
Safety
Locking system must prevent accidental heel detachment.
Include a visual or tactile “confirmation” that heel is securely locked.
Style
Trendy, fashionable design appealing to women 20–40.
Multiple heel heights or heel shapes (block, stiletto, wedge) are a plus.
Innovation Directions (Design should explore one or more)
Alternative Mechanisms (different from Pashion):
Magnetic locking system.
Screw-in or twist-lock heel.
Foldable or collapsible heel.
Rotating heel or swappable sole unit.
Comfort Upgrades:
Gel or memory-foam arch support.
Shock-absorbing heel technology.
Wider heel base for balance in flats.
Practicality:
Mechanism must be easy to manufacture at scale.
Shoe should remain lightweight and elegant.
Deliverables
Concept sketches (different mechanism options).
3D CAD design (SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD, or similar).
Suggested materials (for heel, sole, stelo/arch support).
Explanation of how the design differs from Pashion’s patented system.
Target Market
Women (20–40 years old).
Working professionals, travelers, and party-goers who want comfort + versatility.
Important Notes
Final design must be novel and patentable in India (not infringing Pashion’s existing patents).
Please review Pashion’s product videos for understanding, but avoid copying the mechanism.
Focus on innovation, comfort, and safety.
