Compact Raspberry PI Cam-Mount System Design Optimization - Expert 3D Product Designer required
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
Project: Compact Camera Mount Design for Monitor Image Capture
Description:
We are looking for a skilled mechanical designer or product engineer to develop a compact, adjustable mounting system for capturing high-quality images from standard electronic display monitors (10–15 inches). The system will integrate a Raspberry Pi 5 and Pi Camera Module for automated image capture in controlled environments.
This device must allow secure attachment to various monitor types, offer flexible camera positioning, and support clean cable routing for reliable long-term use. Portability, mechanical precision, and ease of adjustment are top priorities.
The core objective:
Design a mechanical arm and mounting system that positions a small camera module in front of a monitor screen with stable, repeatable alignment.
Key Features Required:
Universal Mounting Clamp: Compatible with a variety of monitor bezel sizes (15–35 mm)
Adjustable Articulated Arm: Multi-axis movement and fine-angle adjustment (approx. 8–12 cm reach)
Camera Integration: Designed to house a small camera module with clean cable routing and positioning stability
Compact & Lightweight Design: Prioritize portable and space-efficient construction
Tool-Free Adjustment: User-friendly setup with visual or tactile alignment markers
Durability: Robust construction using 3D-printable materials
One slot/hook for adding external UPS for Pi 5.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience in mechanical design for electronics or accessories
Proficient in CAD software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.)
Understanding of friction joints, ball joints, or fine-angle control mechanisms
Awareness of material selection and manufacturing feasibility (3D printing, CNC, injection molding)
Deliverables:
Mechanical design files (STEP, STL, or similar)
Technical drawings for manufacturing
