Compact Lego Sorting Machine Design

Job ID: 37842422

Budget: $100 – $500 USD

I need a creative, detail-oriented professional to design a compact Lego sorting machine.
I will be taking care of the actual software that will do the part identification so you will only have to do the mechcanical design.

Design requirements:
The design should use easy to aquire or 3d printed parts only and should come with a bill of materials with where to get each item.
The machine should be compact enough to fit on a standard desk/table.
The whole machine will be controlled by a pi or similar.

The sections of the machine are as follows:
* Input container: Should be able to store a few 100 bricks to be sorted
* Separator section: To get the pieces to go through the next section one by one
* Identification section: Brightly lit section where 2 cameras will be used to identify the single brick that is currently passing through.
* Separation and storage: The final section where the piece will be put into a storage box. Between 4-6 storage section minimim. Or an expandable storage system to be able to add extra containers (extending beyound the compact machine nature). (And 1 reject container)

The pieces should flow through the first 3 sections in a consitatant and accruate manner so that only a single piece is passing through the identification section at any one time.

There has been a few different attempts at creating something like this with a few different implementation. Some videos of these implementations are bellow:

The deliverables should be a design for the above, with instructions on how to build it. A bill of materials and the models for any 3d printed parts used.
