CAD Designer Needed for Microgravity Experiment
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I'm seeking a skilled CAD designer with experience in microfluidics, biomedical and/or satellite device design. The objective is to create the initial MVP CAD model for a hardware experiment intended for microgravity.
The project involves designing a compact, modular, recirculating microfluidic platform, which will be used for a biological experiment. This platform will incorporate real-time sensors and fluidic components, all housed within a 20 × 10 × 10 cm casing.
Key components of the design:
- A recirculating flow microcontroller
- Microfluidic channels
- A single reservoir
- Multiple sensors (4)
- Connection to a microfluidic chip with a biological sample
The model must be optimized for:
- Prototyping and 3D printing/manufacturing
- Ensuring modularity for maintenance
- Future adaptability
Preferred Experience:
- Prior work on biomedical devices
- Aerospace or satellite payload designs (highly desirable)
- Expertise in 3D CAD modeling
Ideal candidates should have a strong background in the aforementioned areas, and be able to integrate various components into a cohesive and functional design. The ability to optimize for manufacturability and maintainability will be key to the success of this project.
