Oil Change Place caused damages to my vehicle.

Took my vehicle to an oil changer. They re-installed the old air filter incorrectly and caused $1143.39 in damages plus $140.80 for a rental vehicle I needed for work. They are offering to cover only 38% of the total and a credit for a future service. I think the offer is too low and I need to reply. I am not interested in EVER returning to their location. I need help wording the reply.
