Korean Procurement & Market Intelligence Specialist – Polyurethane Raw Materials

Job Overview

We are seeking an independent procurement specialist based in South Korea to obtain competitive quotations and provide market intelligence for specific polyurethane raw materials.

This is not a sales, trading, logistics, or purchasing role. The successful applicant will independently identify competitive suppliers and provide objective procurement recommendations.

This is expected to be a long-term engagement with approximately 1–2 procurement assignments per month.

Products

Unless otherwise agreed through Upwork, quotations will only be required for:

* 15% Solid Content Polyol (Kumho PPG 3601 / KPX Chemical KE-1930)
* TDI 80/20 (OCI / BASF / HANWHA)

Scope of Work

For each procurement assignment you will:

* Contact reputable Korean manufacturers, distributors, or traders.
* Obtain quotations from at least three (3) independent suppliers, where reasonably available.
* Compare quotations based on:
* Price (USD)
* Availability
* Lead time
Recommend the most competitive quotation.
Submit a concise report through Upwork.

Report Requirements

For every assignment provide:

Comparison Summary

Include quotations from at least three independent suppliers (where reasonably available), showing:

* Price (USD)
* Availability
* Lead time

Recommended Supplier

For the recommended supplier only, provide:

* Company name
* Contact person's name
* Job title (if available)
* Official company email
* Company website
* Product
* Unit price (USD)
* Packaging
* Lead time
* Quotation validity
* FOB Incoterms (where available)

If fewer than three quotations are available, please explain why.

We reserve the right to communicate directly with the recommended supplier using the information provided.

Independence Requirement

Applicants must be independent.

You must not:

Be a supplier of these products.
Represent a supplier whose quotations you provide.
Receive commissions or referral fees from suppliers.
Have conflicts of interest that could affect your recommendations.

Objective and unbiased market intelligence is essential.

Exclusions

This role does not include:
* Factory visits
* Inspections
* Contract negotiation
* Purchasing decisions
* Logistics coordination
* Customs clearance
* Acting as our representative
* Trading or resale
* Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:

* Polyurethane raw materials
* Petrochemicals
* Industrial chemicals
* Procurement
* Import/export
* Chemical trading
* Supply chain sourcing

Knowledge of the Korean polyurethane market is highly desirable.

Communication & Confidentiality

All communication, reports, documents, and payments must remain exclusively within Upwork.
All supplier information, quotations, pricing, and discussions are confidential.

Payment

Payment is made per completed procurement assignment.

A completed procurement assignment means one request covering the required products and including quotations from at least three independent suppliers (where reasonably available). Payment is not made per individual quotation.

The agreed fixed fee will be paid through Upwork after delivery of the agreed scope of work.
