Data Center AMC Procurement Strategy for India

Job ID: 40000943

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

I am developing a category-level procurement strategy that will govern all Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) for Indian data centres. The scope spans IT equipment, power & cooling systems, and on-site security systems.

The strategy must clearly show how we will:
• Drive measurable cost reduction across contract renewals and new awards.
• Elevate service quality through performance-based SLAs and proactive maintenance metrics.
• Strengthen supplier relationships so that collaboration, rapid fault resolution, and continuous improvement become standard practice.

My procurement and operations teams are the main sponsors, so the final document should offer both commercial levers for category managers and practical guidance for the people who oversee day-to-day facility uptime. Finance will be consulted later, but they are not core contributors at this stage.

Deliverables
1. A concise category strategy deck (PowerPoint or Google Slides) covering spend baseline, market analysis, supplier landscape, risk assessment, and recommended sourcing approach.
2. An implementation roadmap that includes negotiation milestones, stakeholder roles, and KPI tracking methods.
3. A short executive summary (one page) highlighting expected savings, quality gains, and relationship outcomes.

Acceptance criteria
• All recommendations must align with Indian regulatory requirements and typical data-centre uptime standards.
• Savings estimates should be backed by benchmarks or recent market data.
• The roadmap must be feasible for execution by a blended procurement–operations team within six months.
