Mumbai Fusion Womenswear Designer

I run a women’s apparel manufacturing unit in Mumbai and am gearing up for a fresh line of ladies suits, plazo sets and anarkalis. My priority is to launch completely new collections rather than tweak old ones, and I want each piece to carry a contemporary-meets-traditional vibe that resonates with today’s fusion-loving shopper.

You’ll need a clear grasp of Mumbai’s fashion pulse—understanding colour stories, trims, fabrics and silhouettes that actually move at retail here—while still pushing creative boundaries. Day-to-day work will involve mood-boarding, sketching in Illustrator/Procreate, developing tech packs, advising on fabric sourcing, and working closely with my in-house sampling team to translate your concepts into production-ready garments.

Deliverables
• Three complete capsule collections (ladies suits, plazo sets, anarkalis)
• Full tech packs with measurements, trims and fabric specs
• Colour palettes and fabric swatch recommendations readily available in Mumbai markets
• Two rounds of revisions per style based on fit feedback

Acceptance criteria
A collection is considered approved once fit samples match the tech pack, print/embellishment placements are accurate, and the range sits cohesively under a single fusion theme.
