Replicate Paper Model in AspenPlus

Job ID: 40047716

Budget: £20 – £250 GBP

I’m holding a research paper in PDF format that details a complete Aspen Plus process model. My goal is to reproduce that exact simulation from scratch, matching every stream, unit specification, and result so I can build on it for further work.

You’ll start by extracting all the data, equations, and assumptions embedded in the paper—feed compositions, operating pressures, column specifications, kinetics, heat-duty targets, and any property method the authors mention. Using that information, create a clean Aspen Plus file (.bkp) that mirrors the paper’s mass and energy balances and produces the same key output tables and figures.

Deliverables
• Aspen Plus backup file with the full flowsheet
• A concise comparison sheet (Excel or Word) showing my model’s results versus the published values, noting any unavoidable deviations and how you handled missing data
• Short write-up of assumptions, convergence settings, and property methods used

If you’re already comfortable reverse-engineering literature examples in Aspen Plus and can document your approach clearly, this should be straightforward.
