Optimize MEA Energy in DWSIM

Job ID: 40393779

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need a complete DWSIM simulation that focuses on reducing the overall energy consumption of an MEA absorption–stripping system designed for post-combustion CO₂ capture from natural-gas flue gas. The emphasis is firmly on energy use—how we can cut the reboiler duty, lower auxiliary electricity demand, and generally make the flowsheet leaner without sacrificing capture performance.

What I already have
• Process description, feed compositions, and target CO₂ removal.
• Basic thermodynamic and kinetics data for 30 wt % MEA.

What I expect from you
1. Build or refine the full flowsheet in DWSIM (latest stable release).
2. Set up relevant optimisers and sensitivity analyses to pinpoint operating conditions that minimise total energy draw.
3. Supply the native .dwxmz file plus a concise technical memo (2–3 pages) explaining key assumptions, optimisation steps, and final energy figures.
4. Highlight at least two actionable design or operating tweaks that drive the biggest savings.

Acceptance criteria
• Mass and energy balances close within ±1 %.
• CO₂ capture ≥90 % maintained in optimised case.
• At least 10 % reduction in total energy consumption versus my baseline.

If you have previous DWSIM work on solvent-based capture or similar optimisation studies, please mention it when you respond.
