Project Description:
I’m looking for a developer experienced in automation and document processing to help build a workflow that automatically extracts data from PDF files, processes the data, and generates customized and formatted PDF reports for individual clients.
The goal is to create a scalable system that:
• Extracts data from input PDFs,
• Inserts it into a clean, structured format (e.g., a template-based Google Doc or equivalent),
• Generates final PDF reports,
• Merges them with additional pre-existing PDFs,
• Protects the final files with passwords,
• And saves or sends them via email.
We are currently testing with mock (fake) patient data, but the system must be designed to become GDPR-compliant at any time, e.g., by moving to Google Workspace and signing the appropriate DPA.

Required Workflow:
1. Start with one or more input PDFs for each client. These are genetic analysis reports saved inside a specific client folder.
2. Extract structured data (such as disease names, risk levels, and numeric values) from each PDF and associate each set of data with a single client.
3. Insert the data into a formatted document template, which includes:
• Client name and code,
• A formatted table with results,
• Header and logo.
(Currently, we use a Google Docs template with placeholders like <<Name>>, <<Table>>, etc.)
4. Generate a final, visually clean PDF from the template.
5. Merge the final report PDF with additional pre-made PDFs, such as scientific articles or other supporting documents, into one single final PDF per client.
6. Protect the PDF with a password (e.g., using the client’s code) and save it back to the client’s folder or prepare it for email delivery (optionally automated or exportable as a password-protected zip file).
