Print & eBook Layout Design
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I have a complete manuscript along with a curated set of illustrations and photographs that need to be woven into a polished, publication-ready book. The goal is to produce two professional outputs—one print-ready file and one fully-responsive digital edition—while maintaining visual harmony across both versions.
For the printed copy I’m flexible on trim size; if you have a proven template or a size that best suits image-heavy layouts, feel free to recommend it. The digital edition should read smoothly on Kindle, tablets, and phones, with images scaling cleanly and internal links (TOC, footnotes) functioning without glitches.
Typography, margin balance, image placement, and overall pacing are critical. The illustrations and photographs vary in resolution, so some light retouching or colour correction may be needed to keep everything consistent. Accessibility features such as alt-text and proper heading hierarchy in the eBook are a plus.
Deliverables
• Print-ready PDF with bleeds and crop marks
• Reflowable ePub (and, ideally, a Kindle .mobi or .kpf)
• Packaged source files (InDesign or equivalent) with linked assets
• Brief style guide noting fonts, colour codes, and image specs
I’ll supply the manuscript in Word format, a folder containing the images, and any existing brand guidelines as soon as we agree on the workflow. If you have questions about content flow, image sequencing, or file specs, let’s address them early so we stay on schedule and avoid surprises.
