Print Newspaper Layout Design

I need an experienced newspaper designer to shape a clean, reader-friendly print layout for a news-and-current-events broadsheet. The job is time-sensitive—I want the first issue ready for press as soon as possible—so confidence with rapid turnarounds and tight editorial deadlines is essential.

The core work covers page architecture, headline hierarchy, column flow, photo placement, ads and folios, all styled for traditional news gravitas without feeling dated. Adobe InDesign (or comparable professional software) is the expected toolset; if you work in QuarkXPress, that’s fine so long as you can supply an additional IDML export.

Deliverables
• Print-ready PDF that meets our press specs (CMYK, correct bleeds, embedded fonts)
• Fully editable source file with linked assets and paragraph/character styles intact
• Simple style sheet reference so in-house editors can keep future issues consistent

I will supply the copy, photos and ad slots; you bring the visual order, white-space discipline and headline treatment that makes the content pop. If you have recent samples of hard-news layouts, please attach them with your bid so I can gauge fit quickly.
