Perfect-Binding Layout Adjustment
Budget: $12 – $30 SGD
My paperback interior is already laid out in Affinity Publisher, but the printer flagged two problems: the gutter is too tight for perfect binding, and the file lacks proper bleed and trim marks around the spine. They require at least 2 cm of extra space toward the spine on every page.
I need the document rebuilt so it passes their pre-press check. You’ll calculate the exact spine width once I send the final page count, paper weight, and the printer’s specification sheet, then apply the correct bleed and trim settings.
Deliverables
• Updated .afpub file with an additional 2 cm inner margin and text reflowed where necessary
• Accurate spine width applied, bleed and trim marks set to the printer’s template
• Master pages and styles preserved so future edits stay clean
• A brief summary of the settings you used for my own records
When the printer approves the proof, we’ll consider the task complete.
