Modern Journal Layout & Cover
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I’m putting together a compact guided journal and need a freelance designer located in India to give it a distinctly modern feel. The project covers roughly 10–15 interior pages plus a front cover. I’d like the palette to lean into warm tones—terracotta, soft corals, gentle ambers—so the book feels welcoming and uplifting.
Inside, each spread should balance writing space with light illustrations and the occasional inspirational quote or text snippet. Think clean lines, generous margins and a visual rhythm that keeps users engaged without distracting them from their own reflections. Consistency in typography, spacing and iconography will be key.
Deliverables
• Print-ready PDF for the full interior (10–15 pages)
• Print-ready PDF for the cover (front, spine and back, if applicable)
• Editable source files (InDesign or equivalent) with linked assets and fonts
Acceptance criteria
• All colours converted to CMYK with 3 mm bleed and crop marks
• Fonts either open-licensed or supplied with appropriate licences
• Illustration files organised in clearly labelled layers or folders
If you’ve crafted modern-style journals, planners or workbooks before, I’d love to see a sample. Turnaround is flexible within reason, but I’m aiming to wrap layout and revisions within two weeks of kickoff. Looking forward to collaborating!
