Minimalist A5 Softcover Journal Design
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
I have an existing journal that needs two things: a fresh, minimalist cover and a precise resize of the entire file to A5 (148 × 210 mm) for softcover printing. I also want the hardcover design in PDF ready to print. The interior is already laid out; I simply need it scaled and adjusted so margins, bleeds, and page numbers remain perfectly aligned after conversion.
For the cover, think clean lines, balanced whitespace, and subtle typography rather than busy graphics—something that feels calm and modern when held in hand. Please prepare the full wrap-around layout (front, back, and spine) ready for print, plus an editable source file in case I tweak the subtitle later.
Deliverables
• Print-ready PDF (CMYK, 300 dpi, correct bleeds) of the resized interior
• Print-ready PDF of the minimalist softcover wrap, plus layered source file (PSD, AI, or InDesign) • Print-ready PDF of the minimalist hardcover wrap, plus layered source file (PSD, AI, or InDesign)
Acceptance
The printer’s pre-flight check must pass without warnings, and the finished book should trim cleanly to A5 with no content lost in the gutter or cut lines. If you have handled KDP, IngramSpark, or similar templates before, that experience is a bonus.
