Merch Product Creator - Research and Design

Project Title
Merch Designer Needed – 50+ Product Mockups (Print-Ready + Ecommerce Listings)
Project Overview
We are building out a sports-focused merchandise store and are looking for an experienced designer to help create ~50 product designs + mockups.
This is NOT just graphic design — we need someone who understands both:
Production-ready artwork (DTF, embroidery, sublimation, etc.)
High-converting ecommerce visuals (clean, modern, scroll-stopping)
If you’ve worked on apparel brands, Etsy shops, Shopify stores, or sports merch… you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
Scope of Work
You will help us create:
1. Design Files (Production Ready)
Print-ready artwork (transparent PNG, vector when needed)
Proper sizing for apparel (front, back, sleeve placements)
Color variations
Files optimized for DTF / embroidery / sublimation
2. Product Mockups (Website Ready)
Lifestyle mockups (realistic, clean, modern)
Flat lay and/or model-based images
Multiple angles when needed
Consistent branding across all items
3. Ecommerce Listing Graphics
Main product image (high-conversion style)
Supporting images (features, sizing, variations)
Simple infographics (optional but preferred)
Product Types (Examples)
T-Shirts
Hoodies
Hats
Accessories (bags, etc.)
Sports-themed merch
Requirements
We are specifically looking for someone who:
Has proven experience in apparel design
Understands print production (VERY important)
Has experience creating mockups for ecommerce (Shopify, Etsy, etc.)
Can maintain consistent branding across multiple products
Can move fast and communicate clearly
Bonus (Highly Preferred)
Experience with sports or streetwear brands
Understanding of what sells (not just what looks good)
Ability to suggest design ideas/trends
Experience with bulk product creation workflows
Project Details
Initial batch: ~50 products
Potential for ongoing work if it’s a good fit

Product ideas (some open to your creativity)
