KDP Paperback Cover Layout

I already have the full-width background image for a 5.25" × 8" trim with a 0.5" spine; what I need now is your eye for precise placement so the finished wrap looks bookstore-ready. The book (of poems) is aimed at adults, so every element should read clean and mature. Typeface and serif or sans-serif will be your choice, for legibility and balance.

Here’s the content you’ll be arranging:
• Front: title, subtitle, author name
• Spine: condensed title and author name, centered on the 0.5" spine
• Back: author photo, ISBN barcode (supplied as a PNG), and the rear-cover blurb.
All text will be provided in a Word document or as you prefer.

Please keep KDP’s bleed and safe-zone requirements in mind and ensure the file passes their previewer without errors. I can provide you with the KDP template.

Deliverables
• Print-ready, 600 dpi CMYK PDF of the full cover wrap
- Print-read,y 600 dpi PNG file.
• Layered source file (PSD, INDD, or Affinity) so minor tweaks are easy later
