Jamaican Cookbook with Photos

Job ID: 39939231

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I am putting together a full-color printed cookbook that celebrates authentic Jamaican cuisine. The book will feature between 21 and 50 recipes, each paired with a high-quality photo that captures the finished dish’s vibrant look.

What I need from you
• Curate or develop traditional and popular Jamaican recipes, ensuring clear ingredient lists, step-by-step instructions, and suggested servings.
• Style and photograph every dish in bright, appetizing, print-ready resolution (300 dpi, CMYK).
• Lay out the cookbook for print: front and back matter, recipe pages, photo placement, simple index, and page numbers—all in a cohesive Caribbean-inspired design.
• Deliver a press-ready PDF plus packaged source files (InDesign or Adobe Illustrator preferred) so the printer can go straight to production.

Key points
• The focus is on authenticity: jerk chicken, curried goat, festival, callaloo, rum cake, and other classics are welcome.
• Measurements should be in both US customary and metric.
• Photos must be your original work or fully licensed for commercial print use.
• Final page count will depend on recipe total but should stay within standard cookbook trim sizes.

If you have experience in food writing, food photography, and print layout, I’d love to see samples of similar books you’ve handled. Let’s create a mouthwatering Jamaican cookbook that looks as good on the coffee table as it tastes in the kitchen.
