Informative True-Crime Cover Design

I’m preparing to publish a non-fiction, political true-crime book and need an eye-catching cover that instantly signals credibility and depth while remaining distinctly informative in tone. The final artwork should work equally well on print (paperback) and digital storefronts.

Scope of work
• Full cover layout—front, spine, and back—sized to my printer’s template (I’ll provide trim size, page count, and barcode placement).
• A Kindle-ready front cover image optimised for thumbnail clarity.
• Clean, readable typography that suits the investigative theme; imagery or graphic motifs that hint at politics and crime without drifting into sensationalism.
• Colour palette and composition that feel authoritative and fact-driven rather than dramatic or mysterious.

Deliverables
1. Print-ready PDF (CMYK, 300 dpi, 1/8" bleed).
2. High-res JPEG/PNG for e-book platforms.
3. Layered source file (PSD, AI, or InDesign) so my team can make future edits.

Acceptance criteria
• Text and key elements remain legible at both full and thumbnail sizes.
• All fonts and images are licensed for commercial use.
• Final files pass the pre-press check of Amazon KDP or IngramSpark without revisions.
