Event Poster Design Guidance

I’m preparing my very first event and need a striking poster that does the job—attract attention, convey key details, and look great both online and in print. Because this is my first time commissioning any kind of design work, I’m looking for someone who can not only create the poster but also walk me through the entire process so I understand what’s happening at each step.
The project itself is straightforward: a single event-focused poster. I already have the basic information (event name, date, venue, and a short tagline) and a loose idea of the vibe, but I’ll rely on your creative direction to turn that into a professional-looking layout.
