I have five self-help couple-therapy booklets ready for layout—each one 20 pages, informational yet interactive. They all share the same structure, so once we lock the first template the rest should flow quickly. I’m after an elegant look carried by soft pastel tones that feels calm and inviting rather than flashy.
Because these booklets will be delivered both as an e-book (fixed-layout PDF/ePub) and as a print-ready file, margins, bleed, and text sizing must translate seamlessly between the two. Interactive sections are central to the concept: each booklet includes questionnaires and worksheets that readers can type into digitally or print and fill out by hand. Clear form fields and ample writing space are essential.
Turnaround is important to me—two weeks total, with two rounds of revisions after your first draft of the master layout. I usually review files in Adobe Acrobat, so layered source files in InDesign (or an equivalent professional tool) will keep feedback efficient.
