Dual South African Car Covers

I’m launching two print magazines dedicated exclusively to South African motoring—one celebrates beloved classics, the other spotlights the newest releases—and I need the inaugural front covers designed.

Cover 1 should radiate vintage flair. Use era-inspired typography and layout cues while keeping the palette bright and energetic. Anchor the design with a hero shot of an unmistakable local classic (think Perana V8, Alfa GTV or similar) and keep all supporting elements era-appropriate.

Cover 2 must feel thoroughly modern. Clean, forward-leaning composition, bold headline hierarchy and vibrant colour blocking are key. Feature a current South African-market model—no imports that were never sold locally.

I’ll supply high-resolution car images, mastheads and copy blocks. You handle art direction, composition, colour treatment and pre-press.
No pictures of humans or any animate objects
Deliverables
• Two distinct A4 front-cover designs (classic & modern)
• Print-ready PDFs (300 dpi CMYK, 3 mm bleed, trim marks)
• Layered InDesign or Illustrator source files with linked assets

Acceptance criteria
• Bright, vibrant colour schemes on both covers
• Iconic South African car prominently showcased on each
• Classic cover evokes nostalgia; modern cover feels contemporary
• All text remains crisp and legible in both digital proof and test print
