E-Book MLA Formatting Project

I have a completed manuscript that now needs to be polished, formatted, and made publication-ready. My top priority is to release a professional E-Book that meets MLA guidelines, while simultaneously preparing the interior layout for the eventual paperback edition.

Here’s the workflow I have in mind:

• Edit, proofread, and format the text so it follows MLA standards throughout – headings, citations, references, everything.
• Typeset the manuscript for a clean, reader-friendly look on Kindle, Apple Books, Google Books, Barnes & Noble, and IngramSpark. An accessible, error-free EPUB file is the benchmark for acceptance.
• Create a print-ready interior PDF for the paperback, ensuring margins, bleed, trim size, and pagination are correct from the outset.
• Generate and embed a valid ISBN and matching barcode, plus configure print-on-demand settings so the book can go live on day one without revisions.
• Set up my Author Central and other storefront dashboards so I have full control over pricing, metadata, and future updates.

Final deliverables I expect:

1. MLA-compliant, proofed master document.
2. Retail-ready EPUB and MOBI/KPF files.
3. Print interior PDF for paperback (matching e-book content exactly).
4. ISBN/barcode assets and POD configuration files.
5. Short walkthrough or screen-share showing each platform upload and Author Central configuration.
