AMAZON KDP & Kindle Typesetting for Memoir / Self Help Book

I have an 80,000-word manuscript that’s ready for professional interior layout. The trim size is 4 x 9 inches and the content is plain text—no images, graphics, tables, or colour—so the task is purely about elegant, readable typography.

Here’s what I need:
• Print edition (Amazon KDP): a press-ready PDF with each chapter opening on a right-hand page, set in a clean serif font we agree on together, using 1.2 line spacing.
• Kindle edition: a reflowable EPUB (or KPF) that mirrors the same hierarchy and styling choices.
• Chapter heads: “Chapter X” followed by the chapter title, and an introductory quote, styled consistently throughout.

We’ll collaborate to lock down:
– Font family and size
– Margins, running headers/footers, page numbers
– Paragraph spacing, indents, and widows/orphans control

Please work in whichever tool you prefer—Adobe InDesign, Affinity Publisher, Vellum, Kindle Create, etc.—as long as the final files pass Amazon’s pre-press checks. When we’re done, I’d like the print PDF, the Kindle file, and the editable source file for my records.
