Prestashop "order confirmation" button translation to English and French

Hi there!
We are experiencing problems with the translation/change of the text appearing on the "order confirmation" button, at the end of the purchaising process. We want to change the text "order with an obligation to pay! into something more user friendly, like "place order" but there might be a mistake that we are unable to find, as the language files are correct and the text in the back end is changed, but won't be shown on front end. We need someone to identify and correct the mistake.
