PrestaShop Store Configuration & Optimization
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I need to configure a PrestaShop store (version 8) following specified requirements. The goal is to ensure the store is fully functional, optimized for SEO, and structured according to best eCommerce practices.
Here are the requirements:
1. Categories & Products
Categories (CAT):Create at least three product categories.
One category must be hidden and only accessible to a special user group, similar to the example done in class for B2B.
Products (PROD):Add 10 new products with the following configurations:
Two products must have combinations, each linked to a specific color and image. At least one should have price variations between combinations. These products should be related through cross-selling (accessories). Remember, this process is manual.
A standard product that complements the two previous ones. Use this product to create a Product Pack.
A digital e-book that can be downloaded up to 5 times after purchase. The PDF document you add can be any example, not necessarily a real e-book.*
2. Module Configuration
MOD: Disable the social media module on the product page.
MOD: Modify the product page to display related products from the same category.
MOD: Find and install a new module that enables displaying recently viewed products (cross-selling feature).
3. Store Optimization & Settings
SEO Configuration (CONF):Complete all necessary SEO tags for Google on the home page and product pages.
Ensure that all products and categories are properly optimized for SEO.
Product Redirect (PROD):Select a PrestaShop product and configure it to redirect (301) to its product category.
4. Shipping & Payment Methods
Carriers (CARR):Create a shipping carrier with weight limits up to 50 kg.
Create a second carrier for weight ranges between 50 and 150 kg. Ensure that only the correct carrier is displayed based on the product weight.
Payment Methods (PAY):Update the payment options so that only bank transfer is available for home delivery, but all payment methods remain available for in-store pickup.
5. Homepage & Filter Customization
CONF: Reorder the elements on the home page.
MOD: Reorder the filters in the side column and embed the categories inside the filter, removing the separate category block.
CONF: Modify the homepage so that the slider and banner are always displayed on both desktop and mobile devices.
6. Discounts & Customer Engagement
MOD: Create three types of discounts:
A product discount affecting at least three products from the ones created earlier. One of these should apply only to a specific combination of a product.
A cart discount for first-time purchases.
A catalog discount for the upcoming Black Friday, with different discount rates for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
7. Analytics & Sitemap Configuration
MOD: Set up and configure Google Analytics in your PrestaShop store with UA-12345678.
MOD: Configure the Sitemap according to your project requirements:
Enable/disable relevant sections.
Regenerate the sitemap file.
8. Legal Compliance & Redirects
CONF: Create a Legal Notice page in a non-indexable CMS section.
CONF: Configure the 301 permanent redirect for your PrestaShop store.
The goal is to make a PDF report containing:
Screenshots of each configured element.
Explanations of what you did and how you implemented each requirement, for educational purposes.
