Project Description:
We are looking for an experienced PrestaShop developer to migrate an existing website currently running on PrestaShop 1.6 to a version that is fully compatible with PHP 7.4.
The goal is to ensure a smooth and secure migration, while preserving:
All data (products, customers, orders, etc.),
The essential modules (both native and custom),
The current theme or a compatible adaptation.
Tasks Include:
Analyzing the current setup and server environment,
Setting up a staging environment for testing,
Performing a full migration to a stable version compatible with PHP 7.4 (e.g., PrestaShop 1.7.8),
Reinstalling and configuring all necessary modules,
Adapting or slightly redesigning the theme if required,
Conducting full functionality, compatibility, and performance tests,
Deployment to the live server after validation.
Required Skills:
Strong experience with PrestaShop (v1.6 / v1.7),
Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and CMS migration,
Familiarity with LAMP environments (shared or dedicated hosting),
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines,
Attention to detail and thorough testing practices.
