PrestaShop Developer (3 months engagement)

We are looking for a PrestaShop developer specialised in developing and customising websites using the PrestaShop e-commerce platform. The role will be responsible for creating and maintaining online stores, implementing custom functionalities, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the e-commerce website.

The Role
As a PrestaShop Developer, you'll need to:
Design, develop, and customise e-commerce websites using the PrestaShop platform.
Implement and configure PrestaShop modules and extensions to enhance website functionality.
Collaborate with designers and other developers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
Integrate third-party APIs and services for payment gateways, shipping providers, and other e-commerce functionalities.
Customise the website's front-end and back-end according to client requirements and specifications.
Optimise website performance, including page load speed, database queries, and overall responsiveness.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality, performance, and compatibility.
Stay up to date with the latest PrestaShop updates, trends, and best practices.
Ensure website security by implementing necessary measures and regularly monitoring for vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with the marketing team to implement SEO best practices and optimise website content for search engines.
Provide technical support and guidance to clients and end-users.
Requirements:
· At least 3 years of experience with PrestaShop
· Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript*.
· Strong experience working with the PrestaShop platform, including module development and customization.
· Knowledge of web development frameworks and libraries, such as jQuery and Bootstrap.
· Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
· Understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile optimization.
· Experience with website performance optimization techniques.
· Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
· Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
· Prior experience in e-commerce development and knowledge of other e-commerce platforms is a plus (woocommerce, shopify, magento, etc.)
· Conversational English
