Make a Prestashop 1.7.8 module compatible with Prestashop 8.1

there's a product statistics module (screenshot attached) that works with Presta 1.7.8. About a year ago its developer dropped its development and therefore it doesn't support Prestashop 8.1.
As I upgraded the Sandbox site to 8.1, the module is already installed there but it gives an error message (screenshot attached). I would require to make it work on 8.1.
I have this module up & running in two 1.7.8 sites: one on LIVE site and another one on second Sandbox and the 8.1 version must work exactly as these ones.
As 1.7.8 and 8.1 are pretty similar systems, it actually might be a quite uncomplicated job.
I would require the fix in a written way for transferring it to LIVE site.
