Build a basic e-commerce website using PrestaShop (setup + theme + payments + shipping)
Project overview
I'm looking for an experienced PrestaShop developer to create a clean, modern, and easy-to-manage online store for my business. The goal is a working e-commerce website with core shopping features (catalog, cart, checkout) and an admin area where I can manage products, orders, and customers.
Scope of work
- Install and configure PrestaShop on my hosting (or recommend hosting requirements if needed).
- Configure store settings: currency, languages (if required), tax rules (basic), email settings.
- Theme setup and light customization: homepage layout, colors/fonts to match brand, header/footer, mobile responsive.
- Create core pages: Home, Shop/Categories, Product, Cart/Checkout, Contact, About, FAQ (basic).
- Set up product catalog structure: categories/subcategories, attributes (size/color), basic filters if supported by theme.
- Add a small set of demo products (e.g., 5–10) to confirm everything works; I will upload the remaining products after handover (or we can agree on a larger import).
- Payment setup (one or two gateways): e.g., PayPal and/or Stripe (depending on my region and accounts).
- Shipping setup: 1–3 shipping methods, shipping zones/rules (basic), free shipping rule if needed.
- Basic SEO setup: friendly URLs, meta titles/descriptions for main pages, sitemap/robots configuration.
- Security & launch: basic hardening, backups, move from staging to live (if applicable).
Deliverables
- Fully functional PrestaShop e-commerce website deployed on my domain/hosting.
- Admin access + short handover document (how to add products, manage orders, edit pages).
- Theme installed and configured, with agreed visual adjustments.
- Payments + shipping tested (test mode is fine if live accounts are not ready).
- A short checklist confirming what's completed and what I need to do after delivery.
What I will provide
- Logo, brand colors, and any reference websites I like.
- Product data (names, prices, descriptions, images) or a CSV if we do an import.
- Payment gateway accounts (PayPal/Stripe) and shipping rules/rates.
- Legal texts (Privacy Policy, Terms, Refund policy) if required for my market.
Timeline & budget
- Expected timeline: 14–30 days (depending on product count and customizations).
- Please propose a fixed price and estimated delivery time, with a clear breakdown of what's included.
How to apply (proposal requirements)
- Share 1–2 PrestaShop sites you’ve built or customized (links/screenshots).
- Confirm what PrestaShop version you recommend and what theme approach you’ll use (existing theme vs. custom).
- List any paid modules/themes you expect we might need (if any) and why.
- Ask any questions you need to finalize the scope (products count, languages, shipping countries, etc.).
