Complete a 3-5 minute video recorded presentation that shows you delivering your prepared presentation to a small audience. Your recorded presentation should:
• be rehearsed in advance.
• use language effectively, considering language that is appropriate, vivid, inclusive, and familiar as well as assure clarity, economy, power, and variety. Avoid obscenities as well as undefined obscure language and jargon.
• allow you to be clearly seen – from at least your torso to the top of your head – and heard on the recording.
• demonstrate effective nonverbal skills and use notes appropriately.
• demonstrate confident delivery.
• assure that you are on camera as the focus of the presentation for at least 80% of the time; that is, the aid cannot be used in place of your
visual image for more than a total of 20% of the presentation. For example, if your presentation is four minutes (240 seconds) long, the camera may focus on the aid(s) for a total of 48 seconds (which can be distributed throughout the presentation).
