Windows PowerShell Migration Script
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I Need a Windows PowerShell Script Created for a Migration Project Involving Moving Workstations From One Domain (DOMAIN A) To New Domain (DOMAIN B). We Want The Script When Launched To Present A Menu and Based On What Is Selected It Will Carry Out That Specific Task. Below Is The Layout Of The Menu and What Actions Its Going To Carry Out.
MENU:
(1) - Backup User Profile
(2) - Restore User Profile
(3) - Remove Workstation From Domain
(4) - Join Workstation To Domain
(5) - Configure & Test Network Settings
(6) - Uninstall Unwanted Remove Software
- For Options 1 and 2, We Already Have 2 PowerShell Scripts (One For Backup and Another For Restore) Created, So Those Can Be Incorporated Into This Script. Out Scripts Can Be Modified As Needed If There Is Better Logic. We Are Using A Microsoft Tool USMT To Backup User Profiles and Once The Computer Is Moved To New Doman, Use The Same Tool To Restore User Profiles
- For Options 3, We Need To Incorporate In The Script, Create A Local Admin Account, Then Remove Computer From Domain and Prompt For Reboot
- For Options 4, We Need In Incorporate In The PowerShell Script The Ability To Join Computer To New Domain
- For Options 5, We Need To Script To Help Configure Static IP Address On Machine, If Its Possible To Prompt The Person Running The Script To Enter The IP Address, Netmask, Gateway and DNS Settings
- For Option 6, We Need The Script To Uninstall Some Software, We Want To Check For Either A Registry Key or Folder Directory and If It Exist, Process With Uninstalling The Software. For The Script, If We Can Test With Adobe Reader and Microsoft Office, The We Can Update It Ourselves With The Additional Software
Ideally, We Want A Single PowerShell Script But Open To Have Script The Reference Other Scripts To Carry Out The Tasks.
