When it comes to dnata Travel Group sales we have all the information at a booking level for all the
UK brands in our data warehouse, there are separate databases for each brand but the key
information is available for all that contains the following fields:
Booking ID - 1234567
Departure Airport - LGW
Destination Airport - PMI
Airline - U2
Adults - 2
Children - 1
Infants - 1
The data warehouse also contains Hotel only bookings, which have the following fields:
Booking ID - 7654321
CountryCode - ES
Destination - Majorca
Hotel - Marina Hotel
Adults - 2
Children - 1
Infants - 1
To work on this project you have the following team members at your disposal, all of them will be
involved in many other projects and BAU so cannot be 100% dedicated to your project, but can
spare time to work on it:
SQL Data Engineer - Focuses on importing and moving data around the data warehouse
Data Scientist - Great at Machine Learning, but has a side hobby of
scraping information from websites
Data Modeller - Takes raw data and models it in to a format that BI Tools love
Dashboard Designer - Creates insightful visualisations from the data
Support - Handles manual tasks such as manual data imports and mapping
Please prepare a 15 minute presentation that covers the following:
1. High level approach to the project and why
2. Project timeline and resource plan
3. Wireframe of how you think this sort of information should be presented on a dashboard
4. Explain the insights this data set could provide, along with what are the positives and
