PowerApps Safety Inspection App
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a streamlined PowerApps solution to keep tabs on our safety gear—fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and emergency exit lights—spread across ten buildings in two different cities. The backbone is already mapped out in the spreadsheet I’ve attached: five tables, with InspectionHeaders linked as a child of Equipment and InspectionDetail linked as a child of InspectionHeader.
The app will run online only, and everyone will log in through Microsoft 365 Single Sign-On. Here’s the flow I’m envisioning:
• Choose a building (and optional sub-location) to pull up every piece of equipment that needs attention.
• Start an inspection; the header grabs inspector, date, and time automatically.
• Complete the detail form—pass/fail, notes, photos—and submit.
• Look up past inspections or export reports whenever necessary.
Acceptance criteria
• Replicate all five tables from the spreadsheet in SharePoint or Dataverse and preserve the parent-child relationships exactly as specified.
• Build clean, responsive list, form, and history screens that work on desktop and mobile.
• Confirm SSO authentication in my Microsoft 365 tenant.
• Add a simple Power Automate flow that emails a daily summary of overdue inspections.
• Deliver the .msapp file and any related flows so I can extend them later.
