Yearly Consumption Volume Dashboard

Job ID: 40277533

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

The task is to build an interactive Power BI dashboard that visualises my organisation’s consumption volume. All data sits in a set of Excel spreadsheets and must stay synced automatically, so the model should refresh cleanly whenever new files overwrite the existing ones.

Key focus
• Showcase yearly comparisons of total consumption, with clear visuals that allow users to spot growth, decline, and outliers at a glance.
• Simple slicers or filters for year, product line, and region (the columns are already present in the source files).
• A clean layout that can be shared through the Power BI service without additional configuration on my side.

Data
• Excel workbooks reside in a OneDrive folder; Power BI should connect directly to that location to preserve the single source of truth.
• Columns are well-named but will need some data-type checks and a few calculated measures (YOY percentage change, cumulative totals, and a basic forecast using DAX).

Deliverables
1. PBIX file with all queries, measures, and visuals.
2. Brief hand-off note outlining refresh steps and any parameters used.

Acceptance criteria
• All visuals update correctly when a sample file is swapped in.
• Year-over-year percentage change matches the numbers in an attached control sheet.
• No hard-coded file paths; refresh works for any user with folder access.

Tools: Power BI Desktop (current version), DAX for measures, Power Query for data shaping.

Once the PBIX is sent and the refresh test passes, the project is complete.
