Urgent Power BI Data Analysis
Budget: $10 – $80 USD
I have this work thing I need done by today in the next 4 hours . This is what it wants me to do. I tried doing it, but I just cant figure out Power BI. This is what I have to do. Context
I am an accountant for a commercial manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries. My task is
to estimate the amount of accounts receivable that will be uncollectable based on the
2025 invoices (note that you also have data for the prior two years of 2023 and 2024 at the
same point in time for the corresponding years). Based on historical data, management
has a bad debts assumption of 1% for accounts receivable between 30-59 days, 10% for
60-89 days, and 40% for invoices that are 90 days or more.
• Provide a dashboard with a general overview of accounts receivable at the firm. It is
your responsibility to select the most important information to display and the most
appropriate visualization techniques.
• Create a central estimate for accounts receivable that will be uncollectable. This
estimate should be computed entirely in Power BI, not Excel or any other
software.
• Detail the various risks that could exist with this estimate. Describe what controls
you can put in place to address those risks.
• When possible, perform tests on those controls to see if the estimate is reasonable.
What needs to be done:
1. Power BI Report
a. You should present your estimate and calculations for the uncollectable
accounts receivable alongside other visualizations that test the
reasonableness of the assumptions.
b. In a separate page, provide a general overview dashboard of the accounts
receivable for senior management. 2. Word Report
a. Outline the three steps (Plan, Analyze, Report) used for this data analysis
project. b. This should also briefly describe how you calculated the estimate for
uncollectable AR in Power BI.
c. Describe the various risks with this estimate and what controls you
implemented for those risks. Describe your conclusions based on those
tests. When applicable, reference and include relevant charts in the Word
report. The data for this is in Excel. I can give you the Excel file
