Toronto Crime Insights Dashboard
Budget: $15 – $25 CAD
I have consolidated Toronto police-reported crime data and now need a polished, interactive dashboard that turns those raw numbers into clear, actionable insight. The data source is strictly Police reports, already cleaned and stored in SQL tables that you can query directly.
Here is what I expect you to build:
• A Power BI dashboard that highlights city-wide crime trends through the following core visuals:
– Bar charts
– Line graphs
• A concise predictive model (Python or integrated Power BI ML) that produces a city-level risk score for each major offence category. I am interested in high-level forecasting rather than neighbourhood or street granularity, so keep the model scoped to city-wide patterns.
• Drill-through pages or tooltip cards that let users filter by offence type, time period, and basic demographics without losing overall context.
Please document the SQL queries, provide the .pbix file, and include a short read-me explaining model assumptions and how to refresh the data. Once the dashboard loads without errors and the forecast aligns with historical trends ±10 %, the work is complete.
