Sales dashboard for regional manager -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Price: $50
Time estimate: 2 - 3 hours
We are looking for help building a Power BI dashboard using our sales data exported from our point-of-sale system. We're a retail chain with stores in multiple U.S. regions, and we want to track sales performance across states, product categories, and time periods. This dashboard will serve as a template for future analysis.
The data is currently in csv format, and we’d like to see visuals for monthly revenue by state, top-performing categories, and regional sales comparisons.
Looking for someone who knows how to structure the data correctly, create a useful and dynamic dashboard in Power BI.
Deliverables:
1- A PowerBI file (.pbix) that contains a one page dashboard
The dashboard should contain at least 3 visuals to plot:
- Revenue by State (top 5)
- Monthly Category Trends (top 5)
- Average Order Value by State
2- A PDF file with explanation on how the dashboard was created
- Explain if data was cleaned, or transformed
- Any particular observations, such as outliers, etc
- Explanation if DAX formulas, or if measures, columns or filters were created
Ideal Skills:
- Proficiency in Power BI
- Experience working with retail or sales data
- Strong DAX knowledge for KPIs and calculations
- Ability to simplify data into clear and engaging visuals
Skills Required
Data Visualization | Excel | Power BI | Retail Analytics | DAX | Data Cleaning | Financial Analysis | Reporting
Downloadable dataset:
https://github.com/taloc/sample_sales_data/blob/main/Sample_sales_data.csv
To download the sales order file from GitHub:
- You may see: “Sorry about that, but we can’t show files that are this big right now.” but don’t worry the data is there.
- Click the download raw file button in the upper-right corner of the file preview.
- Choose a save location on your device and click "Save."
