PowerBi Dashboard for Project Pipeline Management

Job ID: 39333097

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I have been tasked with building a PowerBi dashboard to display key information for managing the Customer Funded Project Pipeline within the Aurizon Network business. This tool is specifically aimed at supporting third-party funded infrastructure revenue projects. The Dashboard will be used to track performance against forecasted revenue and predicted margins for specific projects. Furthermore, it will help inform the wider business of what resources requirements will be necessary to complete contracted work whether design or construction.

The lifecycle of each project will be as follows:

1. Lead – All projects commence and is captured as a “lead”. For example, The customer “Vitrinite” has approached Aurizon to build a new connection. The engagement will be captured in the “lead” spreadsheet, capturing information such as estimated cost and time frames.

2. Opportunity – Once a “lead” gets more traction, it progresses to an opportunity. For example, the Vitrinite Connection “lead” could be a few bids based on the requirements needed to make the project a success or to satisfy to regulatory obligation. The three opportunities could be the following:

a. Fatal Flaw Report – include start and end date and, financial information

b. Design Service Level Agreement – include start and end date and, financial information.

c. Rail Infrastructure Construction Agreement – include start and end date and, financial information.

Collectively these two stages constitute a project, and will either be in-progress, on hold, or completed.

The purpose and main functions of the project is to provide insights to track the following:

1. How the business is performing in converting leads, into opportunities and then submitting successful bids and the conversion rates thereof.

2. Track the Project Lifecycle (successful bids) from contracting to delivery/commissioning, and everything in between to visually be displayed in a dashboard/report format:

• Link a Project to a Bid/Opportunity
• Projects by Customer
• Projects By System
• Projects By Opportunity Status
• Projects By Work Type
• Projects By Project Type
• Projects By Project Stage
• Projects By Progress – milestones and gantt chart
• Projects By Customer Rep
• Projects Revenue by FY
• Projects Weighted Revenue by
• Projects Margin by FY
• Projects Weighted Margin by FY
• Project Revenue vs Spend
• Project Location (web map)
• Link to Projects sharepoint file/drive location

I need help refining the additional columns needed in the spreadsheet to have enough information to tell a more detailed and accurate report, and next steps for commencing my journey of building this powerbi dashboard. The master spreadsheet is available on request.
