PowerBI Report Development with Excel back end
Budget: $8 – $15 AUD
I have an Excel workbook that contains data and I want to turn it into an interactive Power BI dashboard for financial analysis. We’ll work side-by-side over screen-share (Teams or Zoom or Google meet) so I can see every step and learn the process.
During our sessions we’ll:
• Import and clean the Excel data in Power Query
• Build a tidy data model and write the DAX measures needed for operating, investing and financing flows, plus net cash position and variance calculations
• Design a clear, slicer-driven layout that lets me analyse trends by period and entity
• Ensure refresh paths stay intact so the report updates automatically whenever the source workbook changes
Deliverables
• Finished .pbix file wired to the Excel source
• Inline documentation (or a short note) summarising key measures, queries and refresh instructions
Expect one or two focused collaborative sessions, followed by a brief polish pass. Solid Power BI, DAX and financial-statement experience—and a willingness to explain as you go—are what I need to make this a success.
