Power BI Utility Dashboard Design

I have an Excel workbook containing all of the raw utility data and a reference screenshot that shows the exact look-and-feel I want. Your job is to turn that data into a polished Power BI dashboard that mirrors the attached layout while letting me drill into usage trends over time.

Core focus
• Purpose: the finished dashboard should act as a day-to-day utility dashboard, so clarity and quick insight come first.
• Metrics: highlight usage trends over time. If you can leave room for potential expansion into cost analysis or consumption patterns later, even better.
• Visuals: incorporate line charts, bar charts, and pie charts—the same mix shown in the example image—to present the data intuitively.

What I will provide
1. The Excel file with clean, structured data.
2. A reference image that illustrates the preferred color scheme, card placement, and overall layout.

Deliverables
1. A single .pbix file matching the reference design.
2. All visuals fully interactive with slicers/filters for date ranges.
3. Clear field and measure naming so I can maintain it easily.

Acceptance criteria
– Layout aligns closely with the screenshot (spacing, colors, font sizes).
– Usage-trend visuals update correctly when filters are applied.
– File opens without errors on the latest Power BI Desktop release.

If anything in the source data needs reshaping before building the model, flag it early; I can adjust or you can handle it with Power Query—whichever is faster. Looking forward to seeing how you bring the design to life.
