Power BI Table/Matrix Date Filter

Looking for assistance with Power BI. Want to implement month/date slicer that once a date/month is selected, the table would display past 3 months or periodic data. I am aware of doing it with measures, however dont know how to implement this if the outcome is to show a table of raw data, based on loaded table.
I only need someone to walk me through how to do this rather than doing it for me, as I am working on a confidential project myself. I imagine 30minutes to 1 hour max call for you to guide me through any of your sample data.
