Power BI Procurement Register
Budget: $8 – $15 AUD
Our current procurement register lives in Excel, yet recent IT restrictions on cloud storage make that workflow unreliable. I want the entire register rebuilt in Power BI so that all purchase transactions for the fiscal years 25/26, 26/27 and 27/28 sit in a single, query-friendly model.
Core requirements
The solution must record every purchase we make, keep key attributes for each entry (vendor, amount, date and any other fields we decide on during scoping), and refresh easily from local or SharePoint-based sources. Beyond raw data capture, I need clear oversight through both interactive dashboards and concise summary reports—think year-to-date spend, vendor concentration and month-on-month trends.
Deliverables
• A clean .pbix file with an organised data model, relationships and DAX measures ready for ongoing data entry or scheduled refreshes.
• At least one interactive dashboard and one printable summary report that cover the fiscal periods above.
• Brief hand-over notes explaining table structures, key measures and how to add future years.
Acceptance criteria
The register must open in the latest Power BI Desktop without errors, load historical data for all three fiscal years, let me filter by year/vendor effortlessly, and render visuals in under five seconds on a standard laptop.
