Power Platform Architect

Role Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on technical expert in Power BI, PowerShell Scripting, Power Apps, and Power Automate. This role requires designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade analytics and automation solutions leveraging the full Microsoft Power Platform stack, with deep proficiency in data modeling, API integrations, DevOps automation, and governance scripting.

Key Technical Responsibilities:
Power BI (60%)
• Develop complex Power BI data models (star/snowflake schema) using M (Power Query) and DAX.
• Implement incremental refresh, DirectQuery, and composite models for large-scale datasets (100M+ rows).
• Optimize queries and visuals for performance tuning and capacity management (Premium/Fabric SKUs).
• Manage deployment pipelines, workspaces, and RLS/OLS security models.
• Create custom visuals, use REST APIs, and integrate Power BI with external systems.
• Build and maintain monitoring scripts for dataset refresh, capacity usage, and workspace governance.

PowerShell Scripting (20%)
• Write advanced PowerShell scripts for automating:
o Dataset refresh orchestration and auditing
o Workspace and user provisioning/de-provisioning
o Power BI Service admin activities using Power BI REST APIs
o CI/CD pipelines for Power BI assets (integration with Azure DevOps)
• Develop reusable PowerShell modules and maintain secure credential management (MSAL, Key Vault).

Power Apps & Power Automate (20%)
• Build Canvas and Model-Driven apps integrated with Dataverse, SharePoint, and other connectors.
• Develop robust Power Automate flows with error handling, retries, and detailed logging.
• Create custom connectors using REST APIs, handle authentication (OAuth 2.0, API keys).
• Integrate apps and flows with Power BI reports, Teams bots, and external applications.

Required Technical Skills:
• Power BI Expertise:
o DAX (Advanced measures, time intelligence, row-level security)
o M (Power Query transformations, parameterized queries)
o Hands-on experience with large datasets, incremental refresh, DirectQuery, and hybrid models
o Power BI REST APIs and Service Principal authentication
• PowerShell:
o Building complex scripts and modules
o Integration with Azure DevOps, APIs, and Microsoft Graph
o Scripting governance and admin tasks for Power BI & Power Platform
• Power Apps & Automate:
o Deep understanding of Dataverse schema, Canvas app architecture, and formula language
o Custom connectors and API integrations
o Complex approval workflows, event triggers, and adaptive cards for Teams
• Data & Cloud Integration:
o Strong SQL/T-SQL skills
o Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric
o Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD automation
