Power BI Gateway for Lightsail/MariaDB

We’re seeking an experienced BI / Power BI specialist to install, configure, and test a Power BI Gateway for our environment.

Key deliverables:
Install the appropriate type of gateway (on‑premises or cloud‑based, depending on the situation).
Configure data sources (e.g. SQL Server, Azure SQL, other sources) for scheduled refreshes.
Set up secure network / firewall / permission settings so the gateway can communicate reliably.
Define and set up monitoring & alerting (logs, failures, refresh times).
Document the setup including step‑by‑step guide for maintenance (e.g. how to update the gateway, how to add new data sources).


What we’re looking for:
Proven experience setting up Power BI Gateways (provide examples).
Strong understanding of data sources, permissions, firewall / security constraints.
Ability to troubleshoot refresh failures and performance issues.
Good communication skills; ability to deliver on time.
Preferably based in Australia or with good overlap in timezone.
