Power BI Expert Needed: Corporate GHG Emissions Dashboard (Scopes 1–3) from Existing Data
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I’m looking for an experienced Power BI developer (ideally with GHG / carbon accounting familiarity) to help me build a clean, corporate-style one-page emissions dashboard in Power BI, using my existing input data.
The end goal is a single-page executive view that shows:
Total emissions (tCO2e)
Emissions by scope (Scope 1 / 2 / 3)
Emissions by type/category (e.g., fuel, electricity, travel, waste—depending on how the data is structured)
Emissions by business unit
Emissions over time (yearly trend depending on data)
Top 10 emission sources (by category, site, or activity—again dependent on structure)
My Data (what you’ll receive)
I will provide:
An Excel or CSV dataset with activity/emissions data (see attached)
You’ll need to:
Review data quality and suggest any light reshaping required
Build a robust model (Power Query + data model relationships)
Create DAX measures for totals, breakdowns, and ranking
Deliverables
Power BI (.pbix) file with a working one-page dashboard
Clean, reusable data model with measures clearly named
Key visuals included:
KPI cards (Total tCO2e, Scope totals)
Stacked bar/column for Scope and/or Type
Business unit breakdown
Trend chart over time
Top 10 chart + ability to drill/filter
Filters/Slicers (suggested):
Year / Period
Business unit
Scope
Emissions type/category
Short handover notes (a few bullets) explaining:
how to refresh with new data
what assumptions were made
Nice-to-haves (optional)
GHG Protocol structure knowledge
Bookmark toggle (e.g., absolute emissions vs intensity if data supports it)
Tooltips / drill-through page (if you think it adds value)
Constraints / Expectations
Dashboard should be simple, corporate, and easy to read
Must handle new data updates without breaking (refreshable model)
Please avoid overly complex visuals—this is for leadership reporting
