Power BI Developer for SAP BW Migration
Budget: ₹75,000 – ₹150,000 INR
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to support our SAP BW to Power BI Migration Program.
The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing Power BI solutions while migrating legacy SAP BW reports and dashboards into Power BI. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT teams to ensure seamless migration, integration, and adoption of Power BI across diverse data sources.
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate with business and IT teams to understand existing SAP BW reports and translate them into Power BI dashboards.
· Design and develop interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
· Migrate and optimize data pipelines from SAP BW and other data sources into Power BI.
· Implement data governance, security, and row-level security (RLS) in Power BI.
· Ensure performance optimization through techniques like aggregations, incremental refresh, and Direct Query.

· Work with different data sources (SAP BW, SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, Excel, APIs, etc.) to build robust Power BI datasets.
· Document migration processes, data models, and reporting standards.
· Provide training and support to business users for self-service BI adoption.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business requirements and compliance standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
· Proven experience as a Power BI Developer (3–5 years preferred).
· Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query (M language).
· Hands-on experience with SAP BW data extraction and integration.
· Knowledge of ETL processes, data modelling, and SQL.
· Familiarity with Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake) is a plus.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
· Prior involvement in BI migration projects (SAP BW → Power BI or similar).
· Experience working with large datasets and performance tuning.
· Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
